Recording one's story, even one thought at a time, can be an achievable regular goal activity that can give a sense of reliability and accomplishment. A simple way to start is to just write some memory or event on a 3 x 5 card each day. When all the cards are used up, put them in some kind of order and then turn on a recorder of any kind and talk about them. When you are done, archive it by transferring it to a DVD, or its own USB stick or convert it to analog tape. You might choose some excerpts from it to share on-line, or backup to a "secure cloud" #oralhistory
